Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RE-04 is a preclinical-stage small molecule inhibitor of dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated kinase 1A (DYRK-1A) being developed by Reconnect Labs. The drug is designed to promote pancreatic beta cell regeneration, offering a potential disease-modifying therapeutic approach for the treatment of diabetes. By inhibiting DYRK-1A, RE-04 aims to stimulate the proliferation and functional recovery of insulin-producing beta cells, addressing the underlying pathology of insulin deficiency. Reconnect Labs is currently advancing RE-04 through IND-enabling studies.
