Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RE03 is a proprietary regenerative sleep drug candidate developed by Reconnect Labs. It is a repurposed, globally approved medicine currently being evaluated for the treatment of insomnia in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and stress-induced primary insomnia. RE03 employs a novel mechanism of action as the only insomnia drug candidate in clinical development specifically targeting noradrenergic signaling—a neurological process responsible for elevated arousal and wakefulness under stress. In healthy human studies, RE03 has demonstrated increased and consolidated NREM and REM sleep, leading to improved sleep architecture, restorative sleep, and daytime functioning without the hangover effects or orthostatic dysregulation typical of most sleep medications. The drug exhibits a low side-effect profile with minimal tolerance or dependency risk and may also improve comorbid psychiatric symptoms. This positions RE03 as a potential disease-modifying, first-in-class treatment for its indications[1].
