Overview

RE245 is a non-psychedelic, orally bioavailable small molecule designed as a serotonergic neuroplastogen. It is structurally similar to classic psychedelics but engineered to act as an agonist at the serotonin 2A receptor (5HT2A) without causing hallucinations or cardiotoxicity. The drug is being developed for chronic treatment paradigms in mental health, aiming to provide therapeutic benefits for conditions such as depression and other neuropsychiatric disorders where traditional psychedelic side effects are undesirable. RE245 is currently in preclinical (IND-enabling) development and represents a next-generation approach inspired by psychedelic research but optimized for safety and chronic use[6][8].
