Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Realfol D is an oral dietary supplement developed by Liveon Healthcare, designed to address nutritional deficiencies and support maternal health during pregnancy. It is a combination product containing levomefolate calcium (the active form of folate), mecobalamin (Vitamin B12), and cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3). Levomefolate calcium is essential for DNA synthesis and the prevention of neural tube defects, particularly in individuals with MTHFR gene polymorphisms who cannot efficiently convert folic acid. Mecobalamin supports neurological function and erythropoiesis, while cholecalciferol facilitates calcium absorption and bone mineralization for both the mother and the developing fetus. This supplement is primarily indicated for the management of folate, B12, and Vitamin D deficiencies and as a prenatal support tool.
