Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rebenin is a brand name for Remimazolam Tosilate, an ultra-short-acting benzodiazepine. In China, Rebenin (Remimazolam Tosilate for Injection) is approved for general anesthesia and procedural sedation, including for gastrointestinal endoscopy and fiberoptic bronchoscopy. It functions by enhancing the inhibitory neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at the GABA-A receptor, leading to rapid onset and offset of sedation due to its quick metabolism by tissue esterases.
