Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rebixiao Chinese Formula Granules (also known as Rebixiao granules) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by the Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of gout and acute gouty arthritis. The formula typically consists of herbal ingredients such as Hypoglauca yam (萆薢), giant knotweed rhizome (虎杖), Phellodendron bark (黄柏), and Smilax glabra rhizome (土茯苓), which work synergistically to clear heat, resolve dampness, and alleviate joint pain and swelling. Rebixiao has been evaluated in clinical trials, including randomized controlled trials and observational studies, demonstrating efficacy in reducing joint symptoms, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels in patients with acute gouty arthritis, with a favorable safety profile.
