Overview

RebmAb300 is a humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Recepta Biopharma that targets the Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor (IGF-1R). IGF-1R is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor that is frequently overexpressed in various solid tumors, where it plays a pivotal role in cell proliferation, survival, and resistance to apoptosis. By binding to the extracellular domain of IGF-1R, RebmAb300 prevents the binding of its ligands, IGF-1 and IGF-2, thereby inhibiting the activation of downstream signaling pathways such as PI3K/Akt and MAPK. This inhibition results in reduced tumor growth and enhanced sensitivity to other therapeutic agents. The antibody was licensed from the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research (LICR) and is currently in early-stage development for the treatment of cancer.
