Drug intelligence / Profile preview
REC604b is a preclinical recombinant 9‑valent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine candidate being developed by Jiangsu Recbio Technology as a next‑generation, novel‑adjuvanted alternative to existing HPV vaccines. It targets nine oncogenic and low‑risk HPV types similarly to first‑generation 9‑valent HPV vaccines, but incorporates a proprietary adjuvant platform benchmarking AS04 to enhance immunogenicity and enable a reduced two‑dose regimen compared with current products. By combining optimized HPV virus‑like particle antigens with Recbio’s self‑developed novel adjuvant, REC604b is intended to offer strong and durable protection against cervical cancer and other HPV‑associated diseases with a more convenient dosing schedule and potentially improved accessibility in China and global markets.[1][6][9][11]
