Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**REC610** is an investigational, novel-adjuvanted recombinant protein-subunit vaccine developed by Recbio to prevent herpes zoster in adults aged 40 years and older. It contains recombinant varicella-zoster virus glycoprotein E produced in CHO cells and uses Recbio's BFA01 adjuvant to enhance gE-specific CD4-positive T-cell and antibody responses. REC610 is administered as a two-dose intramuscular regimen. Its Phase III China program enrolled 24,640 adults; the company completed vaccination and submitted a marketing application to China's NMPA, which was accepted in December 2025.
