Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RECALL-VAX RV01 (RV01) is a preclinical active therapeutic vaccine candidate developed by Intellect Neurosciences for the treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders. Derived from the company's proprietary RECALL-VAX platform, RV01 is a chimeric peptide vaccine designed to generate a highly specific immune response against beta amyloid. The vaccine construct consists of a short human beta-amyloid B-cell neoepitope linked to a bacterial T-cell epitope, such as tetanus toxoid, to trigger robust antibody production without causing harmful autoimmune inflammation. Development of RV01, along with its sibling candidates RV02 (targeting delta tau) and RV03 (targeting both beta amyloid and delta tau), has been discontinued as Intellect Neurosciences is defunct.
