Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RECALL-VAX RV02 is a preclinical therapeutic vaccine candidate developed by Intellect Neurosciences, Inc. It is part of the proprietary RECALL-VAX active vaccine platform, which is designed to generate highly specific antibodies against pathological proteins. Specifically, RV02 targets abnormal delta tau (ΔTau) protein, a key pathological hallmark of Alzheimer's disease and related tauopathies. The vaccine is designed as a chimeric peptide comprising a short human antigen B-cell neoepitope linked to a bacterial T-cell epitope (such as tetanus toxoid) to stimulate an immune response. It has both prophylactic and therapeutic potential for Alzheimer's disease, Frontotemporal Dementia, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, and other neurodegenerative disorders.
