Drug intelligence / Profile preview
recNY-ESO-1 + AS15 is an antigen-specific cancer immunotherapeutic vaccine composed of recombinant NY-ESO-1 protein (recNY-ESO-1), a well-characterized cancer-testis antigen, combined with the immune adjuvant AS15. The vaccine is designed to induce and amplify immune responses (both humoral and cellular) against tumors expressing the NY-ESO-1 antigen. It is intended for patients whose tumors are positive for NY-ESO-1, such as a subset of metastatic cutaneous melanoma, aiming to boost the body's immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells. Clinical evaluation has focused on safety and immunogenicity in advanced melanoma patients[2][3][4].
