Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Recofonlimab (JS003) is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1), developed by Junshi Biosciences (Shanghai JunTop Biosciences). It works by binding to PD-L1 on the surface of tumor cells and antigen-presenting cells, blocking its interaction with the PD-1 receptor on T cells. This blockade relieves the inhibitory effect on T-cell activation and restores the anti-tumor immune response. Recofonlimab is currently being evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials, particularly for the treatment of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and other solid tumors, often in combination with other therapies like toripalimab or chemotherapy.
