Overview
ReColorCell is an autologous cell therapy consisting of a suspension of non-cultured melanocytes and keratinocytes. Developed by the Royan Institute and Cell Tech Pharmed, it is designed for the treatment of vitiligo, an autoimmune skin disorder characterized by depigmented patches. The therapy involves harvesting a skin biopsy from the patient, isolating the melanocytes and keratinocytes, and transplanting them back into the patient's depigmented epidermal areas to restore melanin production and skin pigmentation. ReColorCell was approved by the Iranian Food and Drug Administration (IR-FDA) and registered in the Iranian Drug List in December 2021.
