Overview

**Recombinant anti-thymocyte globulin** is an investigational fully human recombinant polyclonal antibody preparation developed to reproduce the broad lymphocyte-depleting activity of conventional animal-derived anti-thymocyte globulin while enabling more consistent manufacturing and avoiding anti-animal antibody responses. In reported preclinical work, the product contained diverse human IgG1 antibodies generated from immunized humanized mice and produced in Chinese hamster ovary cells; it bound immune-cell proteins including CD3, CD4, CD5, and CD45, mediated antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, depleted human peripheral blood mononuclear cells, and delayed graft-versus-host disease in a humanized mouse model.
