Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Recombinant Flt3L (Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 ligand) is a recombinant cytokine and growth factor that acts as an agonist of the FLT3 receptor (CD135). It stimulates the proliferation, differentiation, and mobilization of hematopoietic progenitor cells and dendritic cells, particularly conventional type-1 dendritic cells (cDC1) and plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDC). Originally developed by Immunex (later acquired by Amgen) under the name Mobista, and subsequently developed by Celldex as CDX-301, recombinant Flt3L has been investigated in clinical trials for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, cancer immunotherapy (such as in combination with vaccines or radiation therapy), and other immune-modulating indications. It is also widely manufactured and sold by various life science companies as a research-use-only (RUO) reagent for ex vivo cell culture and disease modeling.
