Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a **combination drug** consisting of a recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone-CTP fusion protein (a long-acting FSH analog) and chorionic gonadotropin (hCG or its recombinant forms). The FSH-CTP fusion protein is engineered by attaching the C-terminal peptide (CTP) of human chorionic gonadotropin to the FSH β-subunit, which prolongs the half-life of FSH and enables sustained follicular stimulation, reducing injection frequency and improving patient compliance. Chorionic gonadotropin acts mainly by triggering ovulation and supporting luteal function in assisted reproductive technology (ART). Both components are commonly used in ART protocols for infertility treatment in women. This drug is under clinical or regulatory development in China, with activity led by companies such as GenSci and Suzhou Shengji Pharmaceutical, and is currently being investigated for female infertility and ART protocols. The combination aims to simplify ovarian stimulation and ovulation induction.
