Recombinant human hsp110-gp100 chaperone complex vaccine is an investigational, fully recombinant therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for advanced melanoma. It consists of recombinant human heat shock protein 110 complexed with the full-length human melanoma differentiation antigen gp100. The Hsp110 chaperone component promotes antigen delivery and immune stimulation, supporting gp100-specific interferon-gamma production and cytotoxic CD8-positive T-cell responses directed against gp100-expressing melanoma cells. In a Phase Ib dose-escalation study in previously treated unresectable stage IIIB/C or IV melanoma, intradermal administration showed minimal toxicity and limited clinical activity at lower dose levels.
