This combination therapy consists of **recombinant human hyaluronidase (rHuPH20)** administered subcutaneously followed by infusion of an **isotonic hydration fluid** (such as normal saline or lactated Ringer’s solution). Recombinant human hyaluronidase temporarily depolymerizes hyaluronan in the subcutaneous extracellular matrix, increasing tissue permeability and facilitating rapid absorption and dispersion of the infused fluids. This enables efficient subcutaneous rehydration, particularly useful in pediatric patients, elderly patients, or others with difficult intravenous access.
