Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy consisting of five different agents: 1. Recombinant human interferon alpha-1b: A type I interferon with potent antiviral, antiproliferative, and immunomodulatory properties. It has demonstrated significant anti-SARS-CoV-2 effects in vitro and has potential applications in cancer treatment due to its anti-tumor effects through regulation of cell growth and proliferation. 2. Interleukin-2: An immunomodulatory cytokine that stimulates the growth, proliferation, and differentiation of T cells. 3. Thalidomide: An immunomodulatory drug with anti-angiogenic and anti-inflammatory properties. 4. Venetoclax: A selective BCL-2 inhibitor used in the treatment of certain hematological malignancies. 5. Azacitidine: A hypomethylating agent used in the treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes and acute myeloid leukemia. This combination may be investigated for potential synergistic effects in treating hematological malignancies or other conditions.
