Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Recombinant human interferon chimeras is a pipeline program of 16 bi-functional chimeric proteins developed by Heligenics. These molecules are engineered using Heligenics' proprietary GigaAssay™ functional genomics platform, which enables high-throughput screening and optimization of biologic variants. The chimeras are designed to act as dual-receptor agonists targeting interferon receptors (such as Type I and Type II interferon receptors, or specific combinations of interferon-alpha, beta, and gamma pathways) to achieve enhanced immunomodulatory, antiproliferative, and antiviral activities. Heligenics is developing these candidates for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), squamous cell carcinoma, polycythemia vera, and various viral infections.
