Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xinji Er (recombinant human interleukin-2 (125Ala)) is an immunomodulatory cytokine developed and manufactured by Beijing SL Pharmaceutical. It is a recombinant human interleukin-2 (IL-2) analogue in which the cysteine residue at position 125 is substituted with alanine (C125A) to improve specific activity and thermal stability. Xinji Er acts as an agonist of the interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) complex, promoting the proliferation and activation of cytotoxic T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and regulatory T (Treg) cells. In China, it is approved for the treatment of various malignancies (including renal cell carcinoma, melanoma, breast cancer, bladder cancer, liver cancer, rectal cancer, lymphoma, and lung cancer), control of malignant pleural effusion and ascites, and the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis, and Sjögren's syndrome, as well as certain infectious diseases and immunodeficiencies.
