recombinant human interleukin-2 gargle

Recombinant human interleukin-2 (rhIL-2) gargle is a topical biologic immunomodulatory formulation developed by the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University. It is specifically designed for the treatment of oral mucosal lesions in patients with pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune blistering disease. As a cytokine therapy, rhIL-2 is intended to regulate local immune responses and accelerate the healing of oral erosions while effectively relieving pain. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials to assess its short-term efficacy when used as an adjunctive treatment alongside systemic glucocorticoids for mucosal-dominant and moderate mucocutaneous pemphigus vulgaris.
