**Recombinant human papillomavirus vaccine bivalent (types 16 + 18)** is a prophylactic vaccine targeting human papillomavirus types 16 and 18, the two main oncogenic HPV serotypes responsible for approximately 70% of cervical cancer cases worldwide[4][2]. This vaccine uses recombinant technology to generate virus-like particles (VLPs) of the L1 protein from types 16 and 18, which induce a specific immune response, leading to production of neutralizing antibodies that prevent persistent infection and associated cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cancer.
