Overview
A combination therapy consisting of recombinant human thrombopoietin (rhTPO) and hetrombopag, used primarily for the treatment of thrombocytopenia. Hetrombopag is an oral, small molecule, synthetic non-peptide thrombopoietin receptor agonist (TPO-RA) that binds to the transmembrane domain of TPO receptors. When combined with rhTPO, it shows additive effects in stimulating TPO receptor-dependent signaling, promoting cell viability, and preventing apoptosis. This combination has demonstrated greater efficacy than rhTPO alone in increasing platelet counts in patients with chemotherapy-induced thrombocytopenia and other forms of thrombocytopenia.
