Overview

Recombinant L-IFN adenovirus (YSCH-01) is an investigational oncolytic gene therapy developed by Shanghai Yuansong Biotechnology. It utilizes a recombinant adenovirus vector engineered to deliver and express a modified interferon variant, referred to as Linker-Interferon (L-IFN), directly into the tumor microenvironment. This dual-action approach combines the direct oncolytic activity of the adenovirus, which selectively replicates in and destroys cancer cells, with the potent immunomodulatory effects of interferon-alpha/beta signaling. By inducing the local expression of L-IFN, the therapy aims to stimulate a robust anti-tumor immune response, enhance antigen presentation, and overcome immune evasion while minimizing the systemic toxicities typically associated with high-dose interferon therapy. YSCH-01 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma and various advanced or refractory solid tumors via intratumoral injection.
