Recombinant lentiviral vector injection for chronic hepatitis B is a therapeutic gene-based vaccine candidate being developed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. The therapy utilizes a lentiviral vector platform to deliver HBV-specific genetic sequences into host cells, aiming to induce a robust and sustained T-cell-mediated immune response against the virus. By expressing viral antigens in vivo, the vector is designed to overcome the immune tolerance characteristic of chronic HBV infection and promote viral clearance. A Phase 0 pilot interventional study (ChiCTR2200062625) sponsored by Changzhi People's Hospital in China has been initiated to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and preliminary antiviral and immunologic activity of the injection in adults.
