Overview

Recombinant neorudin is a direct thrombin inhibitor (DTI) developed by Fuwai Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. It is a recombinant protein produced in yeast, designed as an anticoagulant for the treatment of non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS). The drug functions by binding directly to thrombin, thereby blocking its enzymatic activity in the coagulation cascade and preventing fibrin formation. It is currently being investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials in China to evaluate its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in adult patients with NSTE-ACS who are not candidates for emergency interventional therapy.
