Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Recombinant Newcastle disease virus inactivated vaccine (A-VII strain) is a veterinary vaccine developed by Youbang Pharmaceutical for the prevention of Newcastle disease in poultry, including chickens and waterfowl. The vaccine utilizes a recombinant Newcastle disease virus (NDV) of the A-VII genotype, which is inactivated to ensure safety while maintaining immunogenicity. The A-VII strain is specifically engineered to provide high-level protection against the virulent genotype VII NDV strains currently circulating in the field. Upon administration, the vaccine stimulates the production of neutralizing antibodies against the NDV surface proteins, thereby preventing infection and reducing viral shedding in the event of exposure. It is an approved product in the Chinese veterinary market.
