Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The recombinant RSV vaccine (CHO cell) with adjuvant suspension is an investigational biological subunit vaccine candidate being developed by Yikang Biotech (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Jiangsu Recbio Technology Co., Ltd. for the prevention of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) infection. The vaccine consists of a recombinant RSV fusion (F) glycoprotein stabilized in its prefusion conformation (preF), expressed using a Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cell mammalian expression system. It is formulated with a novel adjuvant system developed by Jiangsu Recbio Technology to enhance immunogenicity and elicit robust neutralizing antibody and cellular immune responses. The vaccine is designed to prevent lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD) caused by RSV infection, particularly in older adults and other vulnerable populations. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development in China.
