Recombinant Super-Compound Interferon (rSIFN-co) is a genetically engineered form of interferon alpha with a modified spatial configuration designed to enhance its stability and potency. It binds to type I interferon-specific cell surface receptors, leading to the transcription and translation of genes whose protein products exert antiviral, antiproliferative, anticancer, and immune-modulating effects. rSIFN-co has demonstrated higher antiviral activity compared to traditional forms of recombinant or natural human IFN-alpha. It is being investigated for use in viral diseases such as COVID-19 and hepatitis B as well as various cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma, melanoma, renal cell carcinoma (RCC), colon cancer, and other solid tumors[1][2][4][5][6][7][9].
