Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rectalgan Mousse is a topical proctological foam (mousse) developed for the treatment of acute anal fissures and hemorrhoids. It is a combination product containing **escin**, **Centella asiatica** extract, and **hyaluronic acid**. Escin, derived from horse chestnut, provides anti-inflammatory and vasoprotective effects by reducing capillary permeability and edema. Centella asiatica promotes wound healing and tissue regeneration by stimulating collagen synthesis and fibroblast activity. Hyaluronic acid acts as a moisturizing agent and provides a protective physical barrier over the anal mucosa to facilitate repair and reduce irritation. The mousse formulation is designed for easy and gentle application to the perianal and endoanal regions to alleviate pain and bleeding associated with anal fissures.
