Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Redacid is a branded herbal phytopharmaceutical developed by Dexa Group/DLBS that contains DLBS2411, a standardized bioactive fraction derived from the bark of Cinnamomum burmannii, indicated for hyperacidity, dyspepsia, peptic ulcer disease, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. DLBS2411 acts primarily as a gastric proton pump inhibitor by competitively inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase in parietal cells and downregulating H+/K+-ATPase mRNA expression, thereby suppressing gastric acid secretion, while also exerting mucoprotective and antioxidant effects that enhance gastric and colonic mucus synthesis and mucosal blood flow via NF-κB–mediated upregulation of MUC5AC, COX-2, and nitric oxide. Redacid is formulated as oral caplets (and oral liquid in some materials) and has obtained Indonesian BPOM phytopharmaca marketing authorization as an Indonesia Indigenous Modern Medicine.
