Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Redisolv is a combination dietary supplement and Class IIa medical device developed by Aurora Biofarma for the management of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and the support of normal intestinal function. The product contains two primary active components: partially hydrolyzed guar gum (PHGG) and simethicone. PHGG is a water-soluble prebiotic fiber that helps normalize the intestinal microbiota and regulate bowel transit. Simethicone is an anti-foaming agent that works by reducing the surface tension of gas bubbles within the gastrointestinal tract, facilitating their dispersion and elimination. Together, these ingredients are intended to alleviate common IBS symptoms such as bloating, flatulence, abdominal pain, and cramping. Redisolv is typically commercialized in a stick pack format for oral administration.
