Reduxin Forte

**Reduxin Forte** is an oral fixed-dose anti-obesity medicine developed by Promomed that combines metformin and sibutramine. It is supplied as film-coated tablets containing metformin hydrochloride 850 mg plus sibutramine hydrochloride monohydrate 10 mg or 15 mg. Sibutramine is a centrally acting monoamine-reuptake inhibitor that reduces appetite and increases satiety and energy expenditure, while metformin is a biguanide that reduces hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity. The product is marketed in Russia for correction of body weight and metabolic abnormalities in adults with alimentary obesity, including patients with obesity associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, or prediabetes.
