Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Regelle is a non-hormonal, water-based intravaginal gel developed by KoRa Healthcare for the symptomatic relief of vaginal dryness, atrophy, and associated discomfort, particularly in menopausal and post-menopausal women. The active ingredient, polycarbophil, is a bioadhesive polymer that binds to the vaginal epithelium, providing continuous moisturization for up to three days. It works by restoring the natural pH of the vagina and improving the elasticity of the vaginal wall, thereby encouraging natural secretions. As a Class IIB medical device, it acts through physical mechanisms rather than pharmacological, immunological, or metabolic means.
