Regenecare

**Regenecare** is an MPM Medical topical wound-care hydrogel product name that has been used for lidocaine-containing formulations. The current OTC-labeled **RegeneCare HA** formulation contains lidocaine hydrochloride 2% as its active pharmaceutical ingredient; lidocaine produces local analgesia by reversibly blocking voltage-gated sodium channels in peripheral sensory nerves. Its hydrogel vehicle contains ingredients including aloe vera, collagen, and sodium hyaluronate to support a moist skin or wound environment. The labeled OTC use is temporary relief of pain and itching associated with minor burns, sunburn, minor cuts, scrapes, insect bites, and minor skin irritations.
