Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RegeneCyte is an allogeneic cell therapy product derived from human umbilical cord blood (hUCB), developed by StemCyte. It consists of a concentrated population of hematopoietic progenitor cells (HPC) and other mononuclear cells. The product is currently being evaluated in Phase II and Phase III clinical trials for the treatment of Post-COVID Condition (also known as Long COVID), with a primary focus on reducing chronic fatigue. The therapeutic rationale is based on the immunomodulatory and regenerative properties of cord blood-derived cells, which are hypothesized to resolve persistent systemic inflammation and promote tissue repair in patients suffering from post-viral syndromes.
