Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Regenera is a therapeutic contact lens medical device developed by Eye Pharma S.p.A. for the treatment of ocular surface injuries and healing conditions. The lens is manufactured from Filcon II 3 hydrogel with a 75% water content and features an inverse geometry with a 16.5 mm diameter. It is supplied in a preservation solution containing hyaluronic acid and aloe vera, which provide regenerating, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties. Regenera is indicated for conditions such as keratitis, corneal hypoxia syndrome, corneal trauma, ulcers, and abrasions, and it serves as an ocular bandage in post-surgical therapy. The device is designed for continuous wear for up to 7 consecutive days, facilitating the repair and regeneration of the ocular surface through both physical protection and the delivery of therapeutic agents.
