Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ReGenerCell is an autologous cell harvesting medical device developed by Avita Medical for the treatment of chronic wounds, including venous leg ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers. The device enables clinicians to rapidly prepare a Regenerative Epithelial Suspension (RES) at the point of care using a small sample of the patient's own skin. This suspension contains a multi-phenotype population of cells, including keratinocytes, fibroblasts, and melanocytes, along with essential wound-healing factors that promote natural skin regeneration and healing in unresponsive wounds. ReGenerCell is CE-marked in Europe and has demonstrated statistically significant improvements in wound healing and patient quality of life in clinical trials.
