Regeneris BioKnee is a regenerative medicine procedure developed by Regeneris Medical as an alternative to total knee replacement for patients with degenerative knee disease or chronic knee pain. The protocol involves an autologous combination of adipose-derived stem and progenitor cells and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis: fat is extracted via a minimally invasive process to harvest stem cells (yielding approximately 10 to 40 million cells per treatment), and blood is drawn to process PRP. These biological components are then injected directly into the injured knee joint under local anesthesia. The treatment aims to activate the body's natural healing processes to repair joint tissue, increase range of motion, and reduce pain, with effects reported to last between 7 to 10 years.
