Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RegenSkin is an investigational cell therapy developed by Tianjin Ever Union Biotechnology for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. The therapy consists of umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs), which utilize a regenerative medicine approach to leverage the immunomodulatory and tissue regenerative properties of stem cells. Unlike conventional biologics that target specific inflammatory cytokines such as IL-17 or TNF-alpha, RegenSkin is designed to restore immune homeostasis by modulating systemic and local inflammatory environments. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety and efficacy compared to the standard systemic treatment methotrexate in patients with moderate to severe chronic plaque psoriasis.
