Overview

REGN24493 is a novel monoclonal antibody developed by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals that acts as a thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR) antagonist. It is designed for the treatment of Graves' disease (GD) and thyroid eye disease (TED) by binding to TSHR and blocking downstream signaling induced by its ligand, TSH, and thyroid-stimulating autoantibodies (TSAbs). In preclinical in-vitro studies, REGN24493 demonstrated high-affinity binding to human and non-human primate TSHR and effectively inhibited TSHR activation, addressing the primary drivers of hyperthyroidism and orbital tissue expansion.
