REGN7067 is a fully human monoclonal antibody of the IgG4 kappa isotype that specifically targets and neutralizes the platelet-derived growth factor subunit B (PDGF-B) ligand. Developed by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, it is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). The PDGF signaling pathway, particularly involving the PDGF-B subunit and its receptor PDGFR-beta, is a well-characterized driver of the pathological vascular remodeling seen in PAH, including the excessive proliferation and migration of pulmonary artery smooth muscle cells. By binding to PDGF-B, REGN7067 prevents the activation of its cognate receptors, thereby aiming to inhibit or potentially reverse the structural changes in the pulmonary vasculature, reduce pulmonary vascular resistance, and improve clinical outcomes for patients with PAH.
