Overview

REGN7508 is an investigational monoclonal antibody developed by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals that targets the catalytic domain of coagulation factor XI. It is designed to maximize anticoagulant activity while minimizing bleeding risk. The drug has demonstrated robust antithrombotic effects in clinical trials for the prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolism (VTE), particularly after orthopedic surgery such as total knee arthroplasty. In phase 2 studies, a single intravenous dose of REGN7508 was superior to enoxaparin and non-inferior to apixaban in reducing VTE rates without increasing clinically relevant bleeding events. A broad phase 3 program is planned for further evaluation in various patient populations at risk for thrombosis[1][6][10].
