RegStem is an autologous mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC) therapy developed by EMO Biomedicine for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. The product is derived from MSCs isolated from the patient's own infrapatellar fat pad, which are expanded ex vivo to reach a therapeutic concentration. Once expanded, the cells are administered via intra-articular injection into the joint cavity. The mechanism of action involves the cells' ability to promote tissue repair, regeneration, and anti-inflammatory responses, as well as their potential for chondrogenesis to restore damaged cartilage in the osteoarthritic knee.
