Overview
Reinovax PCV24 is a 24-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine developed by Shanghai Reinovax Biologics. It is designed to provide broad protection against pneumococcal infections by targeting 24 different serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae. The vaccine uses an innovative dual carrier protein conjugation technology to enhance immunogenicity and safety profiles. Its primary mechanism of action is as an immunostimulant, inducing the immune system to generate protective antibodies against the included pneumococcal serotypes. The vaccine has completed phase II clinical trials in adults and phase I trials in children and infants are ongoing or recently completed[1][2][3][5].
