Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rejuran S is a specialized, high-viscosity injectable skin booster and aesthetic medical device developed by PharmaResearch. It is formulated with highly purified polynucleotides (PN) derived from salmon DNA, which are designed to promote tissue regeneration and dermal remodeling. The 'S' in its name stands for 'scar,' reflecting its primary indication for the treatment of depressed acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, and burn scars. Mechanistically, the polynucleotides in Rejuran S act as agonists of the adenosine A2A receptor, stimulating dermal fibroblasts to synthesize collagen and elastin, while also providing nucleotides for the cellular salvage pathway to facilitate DNA repair. Due to its high viscosity and gel-like structure, Rejuran S also functions as a physical scaffold to temporarily fill and smooth sunken scars. It is CE-certified and widely used in aesthetic medicine across Asia and Europe.
