Drug intelligence / Profile preview
relabotulinumtoxinA (QM1114-DP) is an investigational ready-to-use liquid formulation of botulinum toxin type A developed for aesthetic use, specifically for the treatment of moderate to severe glabellar lines (frown lines) and lateral canthal lines (crow’s feet). Unlike traditional botulinum toxin products that require reconstitution before administration, this proprietary formulation is designed to be administered directly, reducing preparation time and potentially increasing dosing accuracy. The drug acts as a neuromuscular blocking agent by inhibiting acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction, resulting in temporary muscle paralysis and smoothing of dynamic facial wrinkles. It is derived from Galderma’s proprietary strain of Clostridium botulinum using an animal-origin free process[2][5][7].
