Overview

This is a combination of three agents: - **Relacorilant** is a selective glucocorticoid receptor antagonist (SGRA), designed to overcome stress-induced chemoresistance by blocking glucocorticoid receptor (GR) activation, which is known to enable cancer cell survival under chemotherapy.[1][6][7][9] - **Nab-paclitaxel** (nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel) is an antineoplastic agent derived from paclitaxel, formulated with albumin to enhance delivery and reduce hypersensitivity risks. It stabilizes microtubules, halting cell division and inducing apoptosis. - **Bevacizumab** is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), inhibiting angiogenesis and thus tumor growth by blocking blood vessel formation.[2][5][8] The combination is studied mainly in platinum-resistant ovarian, fallopian tube, and primary peritoneal cancers, based on the scientific rationale that relacorilant can resensitize tumors to chemotherapy, nab-paclitaxel provides cytotoxic action, and bevacizumab inhibits angiogenesis, potentially enhancing overall anti-tumor activity. The triple combination is experimental and may be in use in clinical trials or expanded access settings. Relacorilant is developed by Corcept Therapeutics.
